SAE Threads | SOLIDWORKS Forums
I am not new to the SolidWorks, but i am starting to use threads seriousluy for the first time. In my line of work we use SAE and NPT threads the most. I have no trouble with NPT threads as they are conveniently separated from the rest (as they should). But i am having problems with locating SAE threads. As I see so far, to use, for example, 2"-12 TPI SAE thread, i would need to pick it up ...

Make threads visible in model | SOLIDWORKS Forums
I make a threaded hole in a part, it looks like an ordinary hole. It would be nice if SW would show me some shaded threads so that I know it's a threaded hole without looking in the Feature tree.

BSP & NPT thread standard in hole wizard - SolidWorks
A question, why are the international standard pipe threads BSP (Britisch) & NPT (American) not standard in the hole wizard ?? What's the best way to make a hole with BSP thread? In my hole wizard (SW 2010) are 17 different types of threads, but not the 2 most important pipe threads. Philippe

Threading Options | SOLIDWORKS Forums
Before you decide to cut threads into your part, a design decision must be made which determines the relative value of modeling the threads. Thread features are often very resource intensive at the part level, and that issue only magnifies when multiple parts are inserted into an assembly.

I am trying to just use thread wizard and pre select all the holes but it only lets me select one hole at a time so I am trying to save time and get it all done in one shot.

Making Threads in an Assembly File? | SOLIDWORKS Forums
Is there a way to add a thread feature in an assembly file? The part and assembly drawings correspond to the order of machining and assembly welding steps, so since the part is threaded later on in an assembly, I do not want to add the thread in the part file. Since the thread feature or helical curve and sweep features are not available in an assembly I am not sure how to go about this. The ...

Left Hand Threads. | SOLIDWORKS Forums
The RH callout looks fine because we don't specify the hand, but how do you specify LH threads? I thought there would be a simple tick box in the Hole Wizard property manager.
